Juvonno integration
gema picks up, books the patient in, and writes the appointment into Juvonno.
gema answers every call, text, chat and email, books the appointment in its own calendar, and sends every booking and cancellation straight into your Juvonno calendar.
Juvonno is Canadian-owned clinic software, built out of Oak Bluff, Manitoba, and used across physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy and multi-disciplinary practices from coast to coast. Charting, scheduling and billing sit in one system, and the Canadian rails a private practice actually needs — TELUS Health eClaims, HCAI, OHIP, Manitoba Health, Teleplan — go out from that same place. What Juvonno cannot do is pick up the phone.
This page is for the clinic that has already made that decision. Physio, chiro, massage, or a multi-disciplinary room with all three under one roof. A front desk that is competent and outnumbered. Calls arriving while your hands are on a patient, at 7pm after the desk has gone home, on a Saturday when someone's back has gone out and they are ringing four clinics in a row and booking with whoever answers. The fear is not the phone. The fear is that a phone service would wreck a system that finally works — a second calendar, a stack of callback emails to retype on Monday, or a clinical record moved somewhere you did not choose.
So here is plainly what the connection does. gema owns the calendar. It is the booking system, not a widget bolted to one. When a patient calls, texts, emails or opens the web chat, gema checks real availability against your practitioners, your service durations and your opening hours, and books the appointment there and then, during the conversation. It then writes that booking into Juvonno through Juvonno's own API — patient, practitioner, service, date, time. If the patient is new, gema creates them in Juvonno first. If the appointment is later cancelled, gema marks it cancelled in Juvonno too. That write is the differentiator: several products ranking for these searches say they "work with" your practice-management system and mean a human being takes a message. This is a real write into your schedule.
Day to day it is unremarkable, which is the point. A patient rings at 6:40am. gema answers, finds them, offers the next two openings with the physio they usually see, books the 8:15, confirms it on the call and emails the confirmation. By the time your admin opens Juvonno, the appointment is sitting in the grid where it belongs, on the right person, in the right column. A cancellation arrives by SMS at 9pm; gema handles it, frees the slot and updates Juvonno. A caller with a clinical question is told their practitioner will cover it at the visit, and offered the booking; a caller who wants a person is put through during your open hours and flagged for your team after hours. Every call, text, chat and email lands in one activity log, with the transcript of every call.
Syncs fail sometimes. A key gets rotated, a practitioner is renamed, Juvonno has a bad ten minutes. gema does not drop the booking and it does not pretend. The appointment still exists in gema, so the patient's time is genuinely held. gema retries the write; if it still will not land, that booking is flagged for clinic action and appears in your dashboard's follow-up list with the reason attached. Your team fixes the cause and retries in one click, or enters it in Juvonno by hand. If one integration keeps failing, gema stops hammering it and tells you. Every attempt is written to an audit log.
Setup is four steps and no data migration, because nothing moves. In Juvonno, a staff account with appointment and patient write access generates an API key under Settings, Integrated Apps. In gema, you paste that key and your Juvonno subdomain — the part in front of .juvonno.com — and run a test connection. Then you line up service and practitioner names so the two systems agree on who is who. Then you place a test call and watch the booking appear.
The Canadian part is not decoration. Juvonno has been built out of Manitoba since 2005, around Canadian billing and Canadian regulators. gema is Canadian too. Records are stored in Canada, pricing is in Canadian dollars, and support is based in Canada — no US invoice, no conversion charge. Pricing is per clinic location, with credits included and usage past them billed monthly — see /pricing. No commission on bookings, no per-practitioner fee, cancel anytime. Built to PHIPA and PIPEDA. gema is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Juvonno.
